Why we created the Sculpted Lines Hybrid Short, and why it didn't exist before
Aaron's frustration: looking for clothes for the Yumbo
If you've been to the Yumbo in Maspalomas or any Pride event wanting to look sexy and uncomplicated, you've probably experienced it: you arrive at the specialized stores and you always find the same thing.
Either it's all too fetishistic—designed for a very specific look that doesn't represent everyone. Or it's outrageously expensive, from established brands where a basic pair of shorts costs twice what it should. Or it's simply unoriginal: the same designs, the same colors, the same old cut.
Aaron had spent years searching for his perfect piece for nights at the Yumbo and for Pride events. And he couldn't find it.
The Asian market: more original, but...
The Asian market had something the big brands didn't: bolder, more original designs at affordable prices. You could find things that at least caught your eye.
But at a different cost: deliveries that took weeks, non-existent customer service when something went wrong, and above all, very inconsistent quality — one piece could be perfect and the next, a disaster.
It wasn't a solution. It was a band-aid.
The meeting with Gege, the spark that changed everything
Gege has spent years designing and sewing her own costumes for her drag shows, developed under her brand Pink Monkey. Pure creativity, handmade, designed to make an impact.
When Aaron and Gege started talking about this shared frustration, the question was inevitable: why don't we make our own clothes?
Not to resell other people's designs. Not to copy. To create exactly what was missing in the market, from scratch, with purpose, with intention.
The detail that changes everything: the invisible pocket
The Sculpted Lines Hybrid Short wasn't born from a trend. It was born from a very specific problem.
How can you go to a party at the Yumbo or a Pride event without a handbag, a jacket, a plastic fanny pack that can be cut with a box cutter, or a drawstring bag where anyone can pickpocket you?
The answer was the invisible pocket. Integrated into the design, discreet, and large enough to carry your phone and keys. Nothing more, nothing less.
Real freedom. No stress. No constantly watching your bag.
To that we add the sculpted horizontal lines that give the collection its name: a design that defines the silhouette, enhances the body, and works just as well on the beach at midday as on a dance floor at four in the morning.
Made in Mataró, with plastic recovered from the sea
Once we had the design, we had to figure out how to manufacture it. And we decided to do it the way we wanted the brand to be: local, sustainable, with real quality.
We found a supplier in Mataró, a few kilometers from Barcelona. And an OEKO-TEX certified fabric made with recycled plastic recovered from the sea.
80% polyamide, 20% elastane. Soft, stretchy, quick-drying. A fabric that hugs the body without being too tight, that lasts all night and comes out clean in a 30° wash.
Locally sourced. Sustainable. Without compromising on anything.
