The story of Sexy & Cutie
Sexy & Cutie was born in Barcelona out of a very specific frustration: we wanted sexy clothes that made us feel amazing, but also comfortable and ready for real life… and we couldn't find them.
The problem: either inaccessible, or fetishistic, or fast fashion
On one hand, we saw beautiful but almost inaccessible designs with very high prices. On the other, overly fetishistic options, designed more for a specific persona than for everyday wear. And, at the opposite extreme, fast fashion garments of poor quality, which looked generic and didn't last.
In summary:
- The price was low, but the quality wasn't always there.
- There was design, but it wasn't always wearable.
- There was "sexy" about it, but it wasn't always practical and comfortable.
Real life doesn't wait (and neither does your look)
Furthermore, there was almost never room for the most basic things: where do you keep your keys, card, phone? Many clothes look amazing in photos, but as soon as you go out, dance, or move around, you need a bag or backpack that ruins the look… or you spend the whole night worrying about your things.
That's why we wanted something different:
